BRIEF STORY OF THE MIRACLE BAND

Berawal dari tahun 1998, "X-Part", sebuah band yang kerap membawakan lagu-lagu classic rock, mencoba mengubah konsep bermusik mereka ke arah progressive rock. Sempat merajai beberapa festival, band ini lantas bubar di tahun 2000 karena beberapa personilnya harus melanjutkan studi mereka ke luar negeri.

 

Empat tahun kemudian, Reza (drummer) yang merupakan mantan drum-tech "X-Part" mengajak Faisal (gitaris) untuk menghidupkan kembali "X-Part" dengan konsep Dream Theater cover band.

 

Nama "The Miracle" pun muncul kemudian seiring berjalannya band ini. Sempat kehilangan beberapa personil lagi dalam perjalanannya, kini The Miracle menemukan formasi terbaiknya bersama Chemmy (vokalis), Yessi (keyboardis)

Powerslaves

Adalah band beraliran Rock N Roll yg berasal dari Kota Semarang. Sejak didirikan sekitar thn 1990, PS mengalami pergantian personil. Formasi lama sempat nama-nama seperti: Andre Franzky (kini Boomerang) - Agung Dida (kini add Drumer Andra n The Backborn dan Dewa 19) - Didot (kini add Kibor Dewa 19) - Njet (kini vocalis Flower) dll. Jadi formasi yang masih bertahan sejak dulu hingga kini adalah Heydi Prahara/Ibrahim dan Anwar Fatahilah.

Penampilan Powerslaves, masih tetap memukau para penggemarnya jg penggemar Rock N Roll Indonesia scr umum, kekuatan melody gitar (aco) dan Bass Anwar masih kental didukung oleh Yedi, Aco yang juga memiliki karakter Rock N Roll khas Powerslaves, apalagi vocal dan karakter Heydi yang tidak bisa lepas dari soulnya Powerslaves. Saat ini Powerslaves telah merampungkan Album ke 6, yg digarap sejak awal 2008, kini tinggal menunggu produksi dan edar saja. Tunggu info berikutnya mengenai album PS di tahun 2009 ini.

ORACLE

The name comes from Greek term, which means wise teacher. All the Greek Warrior come to ORACLE to have advises for they have suffered in depression. ORACLE comes to our mind as a band's name because we want to share our vision and philosophy to our listeners.

 

Description

Five piece rock band that contain mixture of Goth, Old-Skool Thrash and Progressive.

 

Background

Oracle was formed in 1999 as experimental process in music, by combining the current trend at the time such as industrial rock, with other musical styles such as j-rock, progressive and heavy metal. This in turn produced a unique sound that would become ORACLE sound. Founding members Khalif Mahendra a.k.a Vamp Shiver (Drums, Loops and SFX) and Jimmy Rochadi a.k.a Zeitgeist (Guitars and SFX).

 

"Warna dan Dimensi" (Color and Dimension) the titled of the first album. The album itself was more experimental music and we invited some talented musicians to help us out. Emil Mudigdo (known as Demonic Darkstar) on vocal, Wiwin Rochadi (bass), Andre Mudigdo (keyboard) and Nao (Vocal). Due to a difficulty of committing the band, we were separated by time and situation.

 

After two long years, ORACLE was reunited and pursues in pure metal. The line-up is Demonic Darkstar as frontman, Vamp Shiver (drum), Zeitgeist (guitars), Wisnu a.k.a Damien 666 (guitars). We were having a difficulty to find the right bass player. Marcell a.k.a Demon Horn (Getah) was additionally introduced into the band as the bass player. Demon Horn suddenly departed, which was determined later for reasons. Bayu a.k.a Azrael jumped aboard as "additional bassist" later to be invited to stay on as a permanent member.

 

In 2006, Demonic Darkstar, who was losing interest and decided to departed from the band, while Troy a.k.a Balthazar soon stepped in for our new frontman. At last, the new formation of ORACLE has been completed. The new 2nd album titled "Darkness Within..." soon will be out in the middle of 2007.

Roxx adalah grup musik beraliran rock yang digawangi oleh Trison (lead vokal), Jaya (gitar), Toni (bas/backing vokal), Didie (bas/gitar), dan additional player Crow (gitar) dan Al (drum). Sempat vakum bertahun-tahun sejak Trison hengkang ke EdanE, tahun 2004 mereka kembali lagi dengan album Bergema Lagi.

Roxx mulai terkenal setelah berhasil masuk 10 besar Festival Rock se-Indonesia yang diselenggarakan Log Zhelebour pada 1980-an. Lagu hits mereka berjudul "Rock Bergema" sempat pula digunakan sebagai tema program musik beberapa stasiun radio.[1] Setelah merilis album Roxx (Album Hitam) dan Nol, Trison hijrah ke EdanE. Namun setelah ditendang EdanE di tahun 2003, Trison kembali lagi dan mereka pun merilis album Bergema Lagi di tahun 2004.

DEWA pertama kali dibentuk pada tahun 1986 oleh empat siswa SMP 6 Surabaya, dengan akronim nama mereka Dhani Ahmad Manaf (Keyboard, Vokal), Erwin Prasetya (Bass), Wawan Juniarso (Drum), dan Andra Ramadhan (Gitar); dengan markas di rumah Wawan yang di dalam kompleks Universitas Airlangga (Unair) Surabaya.

Warna musik Dewa awalnya lebih pop, namun kemudian Erwin yang penggemar jazz, memperkenalkan musik jazz pada grupnya. DEWA pun berubah haluan ke jazz, sehingga Wawan yang penggemar berat musik rock memutuskan keluar pada tahun 1988 dan bergabung dengan Outsider yang antara lain beranggotakan Ari Lasso. Posisi Wawan kemudian digantikan oleh Salman dan nama Dewa pun berubah menjadi Down Beat, yang diambil dari nama majalah jazz Amerika. Untuk kawasan Jawa Timur dan sekitarnya, nama Down Beat waktu itu cukup terkenal, terutama setelah berhasil merajai panggung festival. Sebut saja Festival Jazz Remaja se-Jawa Timur, juara I Festival band SLTA '90 atau juara II Jarum Super Fiesta Musik.
